What exactly is an electroluminescent motorcycle helmet?
An Electroluminescent (EL) Motorcycle Helmet utilizes electroluminescent materials which surround the helmet giving off a glow. This glow makes the rider easy to see by others increasing the safety for everyone on the road. The use of electroluminescent material on its own is a major way LightMode motorcycle helmets are different than other helmets.
Another difference is that the helmet is powered by the use of two AA batteries and has three modes of glow: constant, blink and off. These glowing materials are fixed to the helmet with a combination of adhesives that form a strong bond that is permanent and also strong enough to withstand the harshest of weather.
