The first cabriolet from the Mercedes‑Maybach brand debuts at the 2016 LA Auto Show — Only 300 available.
We love collaborations, especially when two powerhouses like Mercedes-Benz and Maybach come together. Solidifying their first joint droptop, the new Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Cabriolet makes its debut at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show this afternoon. Based on the open-top S‑Class, only 300 units of the S 650 Cabriolet will be made available, hitting dealerships early 2017. Pricing starts at around $320,000 US MSRP (or 300,000 Euros to be exact).
Powering this convertible rocket is a hefty 6.0‑litre V12 engine making 630-hp and 1000 lb.ft of torque at 2300-4300 rpm, paired to a power transmission to the rear axle courtesy of the 7G‑TRONIC, while the AIRMATIC suspension with steplessly variable damping control for a smoother ride. This Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Cab wouldn’t be right without some luxury German touches like an exclusive travel luggage set from Maybach which is tailored to match the Cabriolet. Add, a car cover made of high-quality fabric in the soft top colour, with diamond quilting and embroidered Maybach emblem and lettering on the bonnet.
