The 2014 SRT Viper TA produces more torque of any naturally-aspirated sports-engine in the world.
The Chrysler Group’s SRT (Street and Racing Technology) division will soon unveil the 2014 Dodge Viper TA edition. This ‘Time Attack’ Viper finds a special-package design for top performance in an exclusive road-course specialized handling package.
Last year, we finally witnessed the long-awaited unveil of the 2013 SRT Viper. For the 2014, Dodge steps it up with this 2014 SRT Viper TA edition, with only 33 available in the “Crusher Orange” exterior colour scheme, to be officially debuted at the New Your International Auto Show on March 27, 2013.
Powered by a handcrafted, all-aluminum 8.4-liter, mid-front V-10 overhead-valve engine. the 2014 SRT Viper TA puts down 640-hp and 600-lb.ft or torque. According to Chrysler, this Viper produced more torque of any naturally-aspirated sports-engine in the world…the world!
Inside the cabin, the performance driver-oriented cabin of the 2014 SRT Viper TA uses the same standard premium ballistic fabric racing seats from Sabelt, featuring a lightweight fiberglass shell created by a state-of-the-art resin transfer molding technology for mass reduction and long-term durability. Both driver and passenger seats can also accommodate a 3- or 6-point harness for racing belts.
The 2014 SRT Viper TA in Crusher Orange will be built at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit, beginning in third quarter 2013.
