tractionlife.com is here to serve our readers, first and foremost, from comprehensive and more technical reviews to short articles highlighting the latest news and products. Our content is a mix that strives to be informative, helpful, and entertaining, and we are working hard consistently to update older, outdated content to serve our readers today. As consumers and purveyors of the web, we put ourselves in the shoes of our readers to keep standards high, and the old saying ‘treat others as you wish to be treated’ is our golden rule. If we drop the ball, you can inform us at info (at) tractionlife.com.

Vehicle Reviews

We are a group of professional, experienced auto journalists and writers who constantly strive to offer honest, unbiased opinions on the vehicles we review. Above all, we are not directly compensated whatsoever by the automakers, their affiliates, or representatives. All our vehicle test loans (except for exclusive first drive reviews, discussed below) are consistently for a one-week period, allowing for a proper evaluation and fair comparison with competing vehicles. These test vehicles are provided directly by the automakers, at their discretion, as part of their press fleet solely for review purposes. Hence, these are not dealership vehicles or private cars. Our first drive reviews are exclusive opportunities to test and review vehicles often before they go on sale; the automakers invite our outlet/writers to attend the media event (flights, hotel, and meals during the event all paid for by them), and we drive these vehicles usually for one to two days. All writers are compensated by the outlet, in this case, tractionlife.com.

Product Reviews/Articles

We are not an affiliate website and only work with brands that are a good fit for our outlet and our readers. Therefore, we do not get paid by brands to review their products. Usually, the brands will send us their product in exchange for a story. Sometimes, these are actual product reviews covering the pros and cons. Still, often, these are shorter articles highlighting their new products arriving on the market, with the intent to provide our readers with information (including our non-stock photography) and not a sales piece. Again, we are diligent about the products and services we choose to cover and do not accept monetary compensation.

Sponsored Content

Sometimes, we will work directly with brands, with monetary compensation, to promote their products. When we do this, we are transparent to our readers (often with a ‘sponsored by’ logo in the intro), and our intent continues to lean on information rather than selling. These stories can be Best of or Top Picks types of content.
