BMW’s new 2014 R 1200 hits the market for the serious adventure-seekers
Ready for excitement both on and off the beaten path, the BMW R 1200 boasts a near eight gallon fuel tank and heart-stopping 125 horsepower. The style says fast, modern, and tough – a big bruiser of a brother to the standard edition.
One key feature of the Adventure version is the cooling system, which now uses water instead of oil to keep the engine cool. The increased flywheel mass and vibration damper system have been added to keep you riding in comfort even on the roughest terrain. Rain and Ride modes contribute to the safety profile, allowing for better control no matter the driving conditions.
Globetrotters have long sought out the BMW Adventure series for long treks in varied terrain, and the newest member of the family certainly lives up to its bloodlines. The wide enduro footrests, comfortable seat, and wide range of available accessories make the 2014 BMW R 1200 Adventure Motorcycle one of the best long distance bikes available to date, and the improved aesthetics make sure that the rider will turn a few heads, as well.
