Frankly, the Acura ADX isn’t the first SUV that comes to mind when you think of BMX culture. Nor is Acura, for that matter. But this one-off build shows just how well an unlikely collaboration can work. Teaming up with Vans and professional BMX rider Coco Zurita, Acura has transformed its compact SUV into the ADX CZ-77 Concept, complete with a carbon-fiber body kit, widened fenders, 19-inch Rotiform wheels, and a custom rear rack built to carry Zurita’s BMX bike. Inside, things get even more interesting: Sparco bucket seats, no rear bench, and custom upholstery using the same fabrics found in Vans’ skate and BMX footwear. The project celebrates Zurita’s 20 years with Vans and coincides with a limited-edition Vans Authentic sneaker dropping October 24. Sadly, the SUV is a one-off, but it’s a pretty cool collision of car and street culture.
