Devin Booker is going back to the garage for his latest Nike drop. The new four-shoe Book 2 collection takes its colours and details directly from the NBA star’s vintage Chevrolet Impalas, with each sneaker inspired by a different car from his collection: a ’58, ’59, ’62 or ’63. First up is “Pretty Penny,” based on Booker’s copper-coloured 1959 Impala convertible, complete with small touches like a tongue detail modelled after the car’s hood ornament. The sneakers even arrive in packaging inspired by vintage Chevrolet Accessories boxes, while a matching “Heartbeat of America” tee taps into Chevy’s classic advertising era. It’s another good collision of car and sneaker culture, joining recent collaborations like the Alfa Romeo x GREATS limited-edition sneakers and Puma’s Porsche 911 Turbo anniversary sneakers. Pretty Penny debuted around Detroit’s Woodward Dream Cruise, with the remaining three Impala-inspired Book 2s set to arrive in December.
