Powered by an efficient 2.0-litre BOXER engine paired to a 13.4-hp electric motor and CVT transmission. The rear floor has been revised to house the 100v, 13.5kw battery located underneath, charged via the brake regeneration system. The standard all-wheel drive is the same. So is a 220mm of ground clearance as with the gas model.

Some key standard features in the 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid include 17-inch alloy rims; Heated front seats, heated exterior mirrors and windshield wiper de-icer; power sunroof; LED taillights; auto climate control system; and a colour multi-function display with energy flow display; just to name a few.
