Next month, at various events throughout California, Shelby will be displaying their rare Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their FIA World Championship dominance. The championship’s GT class was essentially dominated by Carroll Shelby’s Daytona Cobra Coupe back in 1965.

Produced in either aluminum or fiberglass, only 50 units will be built, with the aluminum version being the first time Shelby has offered the Daytona Coupe in this form. The price of this special edition Shelby Cobra Daytona? The base aluminum Shelby Daytona Coupe, not including the drivetrain, will put you back $349,995. The fiberglass continuation cars start at $179,995, not including the drivetrain. Few key Shelby Cobra Daytona special edition highlights:

  • The aluminum body is built to the same specs and measurements as the 1960s era cars, with original style tube chassis
  • The cabin finds a wood steering wheel with 50th Anniversary Badges; plus Shelby Branded leather surface seats
  • The FIA 15” wheels are painted white
