The All-New 315-HP 2016 Ford Focus RS Makes Debut [w/Video]

All-New 2016 Ford Focus RS debuts in New York

The third-generation high-performance Focus RS hatchback makes its North American debut at the New York Auto Show next week. Powered by a 2.3L EcoBoost, the all-new all-wheel drive RS produces an impressive 315-hp backed by the industry-leading Brembo brake setup.

Focus RS leverages Ford’s Performance All-Wheel Drive with Dynamic Torque Vectoring to deliver a new level of handling capability combining improved traction with agility and cornering speed.

The original 215-horsepower 2002 Focus RS featured a 2.0Lturbocharged engine and advanced limited-slip differential. The second-generation model sent 305 horsepower through its front wheels with a RevoKnuckle suspension design. For 2016, the Focus RS with its 2.3L 315-hp should offer high-performance hatch lovers something to smile about.

The new 2016 Ford Focus RS hits US dealerships in spring 2016.
