Sharper and More Efficient we preview the new 2015 Porsche Cayenne
Porsche’s top-selling Cayenne SUV continues to get better. A sharper design, increased efficiency, and a good dose of standard features will separate the new 2015 Cayenne from previous versions.
On sale this fall across Canada, the new Cayenne will be available in four versions: the Cayenne Diesel, Cayenne S, Cayenne Turbo, and the world-premiere of the first plug-in hybrid in the premium SUV class — the 2015 Cayenne S E-Hybrid.
For increased efficiency, the 2015 Porsche Cayenne offers optimized thermal management and a more advanced auto stop-start function plus. The first time in the Cayenne, the SUV will find active cooling flaps located behind the middle air inlet, automatically opened/closed in response to cooling needs.
More Powerful Cayenne S E-Hybrid Plug-in
Power from electric motor in the all-new Cayenne S E-Hybrid is more than double that of the Cayenne S Hybrid; plus, now a new 10.9 kWH lithium-ion traction battery enabling an all-electric driving range of 18-36 km.
The new hybrid Cayenne puts down 416-hp at 5500-rpm and 435 lb-ft of torque from 1250-4000-rpm, and accelerating from 0-100 km/h in an impressive 5.9-seconds at a top speed of 243 km/h. This combined power comes via a three-litre V6 supercharged engine with 333-hp and a 95-hp electric motor.
The 2015 Porsche Cayenne will start at $71,300 CAD MSRP (Cayenne Diesel), $83,700 (Cayenne S), $128,200 (Cayenne Turbo), and $86,800 for the all-new Cayenne S E-Hybrid.
