Hyundai’s Crazy-Modern Santa Cruz Truck Concept Introduced in Detroit

This Santa Cruz Truck Concept targets the Urban Adventurer

In Detroit today at the North American International Auto Show, Hyundai unveiled a fresh concept reflecting the new direction of truck utility for a more demanding, new generation of truck buyers, particularly, the Millennials representing the second-largest group of active car buyers.

The idea behind the Santa Cruz truck concept is to offer urbanites with modern, capable truck utility — tighter parking spots, narrow roadways, and all other confines of metro life including traffic and congestion shouldn’t stop outdoor enthusiasts from traversing hills and hitting the mountains on the weekend.

So whether it’s loading up friends and firewood for a bonfire at the beach, coaching the youth soccer team, volunteering for a community restoration project, or a quick drop-off at the local recycling center, they need a vehicle versatile enough to accommodate both passengers and gear, while being efficient enough to fit into their unique urban lifestyle.
