Project Kahn has never been shy about reimagining the Land Rover Defender, but this 2015 Defender 110 double-cab pickup shows a more restrained side of the British outfit’s work. It’s still unmistakably Kahn—just without shouting about it.
The build starts with a modest two-inch suspension lift, giving the truck a more purposeful stance without compromising its classic proportions. Up front, a revised bumper and fascia are paired with an aluminum sump guard, while subtle LED lighting upgrades modernize the exterior without drifting too far from the Defender’s utilitarian roots. The whole thing is finished in Volcanic Rock Satin, a muted Chromax paint that suits the truck’s working-class DNA surprisingly well.

Inside, Kahn dials things up slightly. Quilted and perforated leather sports seats, finished in deep red, add a layer of contrast and craftsmanship that feels intentional rather than excessive—more bespoke than bling. At the time this example surfaced, it had covered just 12,900 miles and was powered by a diesel engine producing 122 hp. Priced at £59,999, it sat firmly in collector territory, though Kahn’s approach here makes it clear this wasn’t about rarity alone—it was about balance. If this specific truck is long gone, the idea remains: proof that even with a Defender, less can often be more when the details are right.
