Rivian x Nike ACG R1T Recharge Truck

With slushies, shade and serious trail support.

Rivian and Nike ACG transformed the electric R1T pickup into the kind of aid station that gives an ultrarunner that extra push to carry on. Built in just 12 weeks by Rivian’s Special Projects team, the one-off R1T Recharge Truck uses its onboard battery to power twin slushie machines, lighting and a trailside setup packed with ice, snacks, energy gels and other much-needed fuel, while Nike ACG’s perforated recycled-polyester canopy provides 360-degree shade and helps move cooling air through the space. It debuted around mile 80 of Oregon’s punishing Brink 100 Mile Trail Run (where Nike says many competitors typically drop out), backed by a small Rivian fleet handling everything from protein pancakes and medical support to a misting corridor and mobile DJ booth. The entire modular setup packs back onto the truck without tools, and Nike ACG plans to bring it to more ultrarunning events after its first outing. If free slushies and a DJ booth don’t do the trick, we don’t know what will.
