1. The Roland Sands Design Kent Jacket
The Roland Sands Design Kent Jacket is made from British Millerain 10.5oz waxed cotton, this gives it a water-resistance and breathability that still surpasses many jackets made from far more modern manmade fabrics. The jacket has a classic motorcycle-fit with pre-curved sleeves, a dropped back and a relaxed collar opening – and it has pockets for elbow, shoulder and back armour.
As with most RSD gear the Kent Jacket has soft lined electronics secure pockets and styling that’ll allow you to wear it on the street when you’re not riding – and not look a whisker out of place. You can choose from black, blue and olive – as well as sizes from S through to XXXL. Buy it here
2. The Motorcycle Denim Jacket by Saint
The Motorcycle Denim Jacket by Saint is different to the denim jackets you’ve encountered in the past in one very important way – it’s made from a proprietary blend of cotton and Dyneema® unbreakable UHMWPE fibres. This hybrid fabric is 20 times tougher than standard denim, and will hold up far better to the unforgiving asphalt than any standard cotton material.
Each jacket has triple stitched and bound seams, enamel engraved buttons and are cut to offer a more contemporary slim fit. Sizes from S through to XXL are available and you can choose any colour you like, so long as it’s indigo. Buy it here
3. The Triumph Elvis Jacket
The Triumph Elvis Jacket is a new design from the venerable British motorcycle manufacturer dedicated to the King of Rock and Roll, who also happened to be a committed Triumph enthusiast.
The jacket was inspired by his 1968 Comeback Special, it’s made from natural full grain leather with a waxed finish, it has a removable quilted liner, AirFlow Tech zipper ventilation panels, removable CE certified Knox elbow and shoulder protectors and a connection zipper for attachment to any Triumph pants.
4. The Flatbush Vintage Jacket
The Flatbush Vintage Jacket is one of the new 2015 offerings from REV’IT!, the Dutch motorcycle apparel manufacturer that supplies gear to everyone from the riders in the upper echelons of MotoGP right down to the weekend warriors carving their way through the quiet B-roads surrounding most major cities.
With the Flatbush jacket, REV’IT! is targeting the growing market segment that wants world class protection in a package that looks good, and won’t go out of style. For decades we’ve been forced to choose between safe motorcycle gear that looked like it was found in the back of a budget sci-fi costume store and unsafe gear that was comfortable and looked great, so it’s great to now live in an era when we can have our cake and eat it too.
