The Donkervoort D8 GTO Bare Naked Carbon Edition goes carbon, gets naked, and explores the dark side

Carmaker Joop Donkervoort started out in his modest shed, building cars in the pursuit of perfection and finesse, encompassing everything a true sports car should possess. Thirty-years later, we thank him for it.

From a simple startup to world-recognized sport car producer, Donkervoort is a name hard to forget and so are his creations like the Donkervoort D8 GTO, now available in the Bare Naked Carbon Edition.

The Bare Naked Carbon Edition of the D8 GTO is the first Donkervoort fitted with visible carbon fibre. Coupled with the exposed ‘bare naked’ styling creating a more high-tech look, this new D8 GTO reveals more of a dark side.

Powered by an Audi 2.5L R5 TFSI pure sport engine, the Donkervoort D8 GTO Bare Naked Carbon Edition, the exterior and interior consist almost entirely of super-strong, ultra-light carbon material.

In fact, carbon can be found even the smallest details including the ignition cylinder housing, belt-and-roll bar trim and headlight housings all made of, you guessed it, visible carbon fibre.
