New 600-hp Electric Biturbo Engine Thrusts this Audi TT concept into the future.
Inspired by the Audi 90 IMSA GTO of the late 1980s (pictured below), the 600-hp Audi TT Clubsport Turbo Concept premiered at the Wörthersee Tour in the Austrian town of Reifnitz, on display from May 13 to 16.
Propelling 0-100km in 3.6-seconds via a 2.5 TFSI and electric biturbo engine, the Audi TT Clubsport Turbo Concept sets out to show its technological wares which the Development chief Prof. Dr. Hackenberg states is “technology close to production readiness,” debuting the new electric biturbo enabling high peak power while boosting the cars sprinting ability and torque.

This widebody TT concept finds six twin-spoke design wheels in 9.5jx20 in either gloss turn finished and matt black, wrapped in 275/30 tires, coupled with carbon-fiber ceramic brake discs at all wheels. Inside, the race seats are upholstered in coral orange Alcantara and feature contrasting stitching and piping. In the doors and on the center console, CFRP parts with their large surfaces create sporty accents, and the doors are closed by pulling on a tube-shaped grip with an Alcantara inlay. The air vents and gear shifter also have coral orange accents – the aluminum gear shift lever travels in an open shift gate.
The Audi TT has come a long way since its bubbly beginnings – this widebody concept with the new engine is definitely setting a new path for this popular roadster.
