The Jeep Wrangler Islander returns for 2021 following an 11-year hiatus, based on the Wrangler Sport S trim gaining Rubicon features and some beach theme flair for sun lovers looking to stand out. The special edition is accompanied by the 2021 Jeep Renegade Islander for the first time.
Kind of reminds us of the 2020 Wrangler “Three O Five” Special Edition also based on the Wrangler S, though not as off-road worthy with all the extra Jeep Performance Parts and sport LED headlight package. The Wrangler Islander is more for the easy-going, ‘let’s-hit-the-beach-and-do-nothing-all-day’ types, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Islander vibes for the Wrangler Sport S
The Sport S is one of the entry-level models in the large Wrangler lineup, but just the right no-frills trim level for something like this, sporting “upbeat style and summer-fun features,” as the company puts it, including Surf Blue accent stitching, Islander-embroidered front seats, Ceramic White mid-bolster and black cloth seats, and available white three-piece hardtop on the Wrangler. All backed by 4×4 capability to hit the sand.
Oh, and a Tiki Bob hood decal for good measure. Available colours include:

Some Rubicon and Mopar add-ons
Available in either 2- or 4-door, some noteworthy Wrangler Islander standards include an available white three-piece hardtop, dual-zone temperature control, and Uconnect 4 system with a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto,
But it also gets some goods from the range-topping Wrangler Rubicon, including silver 17-inch Rubicon aluminum wheels wrapped in all-terrain and Rubicon Rock Rails. An optional Islander Plus Package by Mopar adds front/rear grab handles, cargo tub liner, solid sunbonnet top and Tiki Bob soft spare-tire cover.
2021 Jeep Renegade Islander
Based the Latitude trim level, the Renegade Islander also joins the fun — not quite the same as a sun-drenched Wrangler trekking through the sand, enjoying nighttime bonfires, but it does get a nice list of features including a dual-pane panoramic sunroof to let that sun in.
Sitting on 19-inch silver alloy wheels with all-seasons, paired to an available Jeep Active Drive full-time 4×4 system, this Renegade Latitude also sports a Tiki Bob hood decal, more premium black cloth seats with an embroidered Islander logo and Surf Blue accent stitching, the same Uconnect 4 setup as its Wrangler Islander sibling, remote start, and an optional white painted roof.
Colours include Bikini, Jetset Blue, Glacier and Omaha Orange.
