Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge in Canada with New Toronto Indy Stop

On July 19-20, GT3 Cup Challenge Canada teams take on the Honda Indy Toronto temporary street circuit for the first time in series history.

The Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Michelin returns to Canada, now in it’s fourth season. Beginning May 17th, the inaugural race will feature the all-new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup  car in the Platinum class, recently unveiled at the 2014 Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto.

Divided into two classes and running on the Michelin Cup N1 tires, the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Michelin includes the Platinum Cup, and Gold Cup with the 2010-2013 Porsche GT3 Cup cars. The 911 GT3 Cup has an engine putting down 450 – 460-hp, depending on the 911 model, at maximum engine speed of 8500-rpm.

The Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge consists of five weekends of racing with 10 championship races. For 2014, a new stop includes the Honda Indy in Toronto, July 19-20, held at the new Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP). Other Canadian stops include Quebec (legendary Trois-Rivieres street circuit) and Ottawa-area (Calabogie Motorsports Park).

The Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge is sanctioned by The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA).
